Job Description
READY TO TAKE THE LEAD? WE'VE GOT THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!
LET'S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT...
You're an experienced electrician.
You know your trade.
You can walk onto a job, assess what needs doing, organise the work and get it done properly.
You don't need someone looking over your shoulder every five minutes.
And you're probably the person everyone turns to when something doesn't quite go to plan!
Sound familiar?
Well, keep reading...
Because we might have just the opportunity you've been looking for.
We're Intolec Ltd, a growing electrical and renewable energy company based in Warwick.
And we're looking for an experienced, fully qualified electrician who's ready to take the lead, take ownership and become a key part of our future.
Not someone who needs to be shown what to do.
Someone who knows what they're doing and is ready to take responsibility for getting it done.
At Intolec, we specialise in high-quality domestic electrical installations, EV chargers, solar PV and battery storage systems.
We're proud of the reputation we've built.
Much of our work comes from recommendations and five-star reviews, which tells us we're doing something right!
But we're not interested in simply getting more jobs through the door.
We want to build a business where great electricians can do great work, feel valued and play a genuine part in the company's success.
A business where everyone takes ownership.
Where people support each other.
And where doing the job properly matters more than cutting corners to get it finished.
We're growing, and now we need someone who shares that approach to help us take the next step.
7 REASONS WHY YOU MIGHT LOVE WORKING WITH US!
1. A Proper Opportunity to Take the Lead!
You'll be trusted to run jobs, organise the team and make decisions on site.
We're looking for someone who enjoys responsibility and doesn't need constant supervision.
2. £44,000 a Year!
A salary that reflects the experience and responsibility we're looking for.
3. Company Van Provided!
4. Work Close to Home!
Our work is predominantly local, with very little travelling away from home.
5. Get Involved in Renewable Energy!
Alongside traditional electrical installations, we work with EV chargers, solar PV and battery storage systems.
Specific product and renewable-energy training can be provided.
6. Be Part of a Growing Business!
This isn't just about filling another position.
You'll have the opportunity to play an important role in how our installation work is delivered as the business grows.
7. And There's More...
28 days' holiday including bank holidays
Company uniform
Ongoing technical training and development
Friendly and supportive working environment
The opportunity to take on increasing responsibility
SO, WHAT WILL YOU ACTUALLY BE DOING?
Let's be clear.
This isn't a role where you'll just turn up, get handed a list of tasks and wait for someone to tell you what to do next.
You'll be taking the lead on installations, working alongside our existing electricians and apprentices and making sure jobs run smoothly from start to finish.
That means:
Leading and running electrical installation jobs.
Organising and overseeing electricians and apprentices on site.
Planning work so jobs are completed efficiently.
Making technical decisions and solving problems as they arise.
Consumer unit replacements and upgrades.
Fault finding, testing and diagnostics.
EICRs and remedial works.
EV charger installations.
Solar PV and battery storage installations.
General domestic electrical installations.
Lighting, power and electrical upgrades.
Small commercial electrical work.
Testing and certification.
Communicating directly with customers and keeping them informed.
Making sure every installation meets our standards before completion.
One day you might be leading a domestic installation.
The next, you're working on a solar PV or battery storage project.
And when something unexpected crops up?
You'll have the experience and confidence to work out the best way forward.
That's exactly the sort of person we're looking for.
IS THIS YOU?
You'll probably tick most of these boxes:
You've been a fully qualified electrician for at least five years.
You're confident running jobs independently.
You're comfortable leading other electricians and apprentices.
You've got excellent fault-finding and testing skills.
You know your way around BS 7671.
You can plan a job and keep things organised.
You're good with customers and communicate professionally.
You take pride in doing a job properly.
You're reliable and take responsibility for your work.
You can spot potential problems and deal with them before they become bigger issues.
THE KIND OF PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We know there are plenty of electricians who can do the technical work.
But we're looking for someone who brings a bit more to the table.
Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told.
Someone who supports the people working alongside them.
Someone who takes pride in getting things right,
