Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using UK Electrical Jobs. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to all users — workers, employers, and admins. Breach of this AUP may lead to content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

2. General Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Post unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive content
  • Impersonate any person, company, qualification body, or admin
  • Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against any user
  • Post hate speech, sexual content, or violent material
  • Send spam, unsolicited promotions, or pyramid schemes
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform
  • Bypass authentication, rate limits, RLS, or moderation controls
  • Use the Platform for any purpose other than electrical recruitment

3. Rules for Workers

  • Submit only your own genuine ECS cards or trade certificates
  • Do not share, sell, or transfer your account
  • Keep profile and CV information accurate and up to date
  • Do not apply to jobs you have no intention of attending
  • Treat employers professionally in all communications

4. Rules for Employers

  • Post only genuine, lawful electrical job opportunities
  • Do not post duplicate, ghost, agency-resold, or off-platform listings
  • Do not charge workers any fee to apply or be considered
  • Use candidate data only for the role advertised, in line with UK GDPR
  • Do not export, share, or resell CV data from the CV database
  • Comply with the Equality Act 2010 and all UK employment law

5. WhatsApp & Telegram Conduct

  • Do not post personal contact details of third parties without consent
  • Do not use groups for promotion, recruitment outside the Platform, or spam
  • Respect group rules pinned by admins
  • Report scams or suspicious messages to admins immediately

6. Use of CV & Candidate Data

Employers granted access to the CV database must treat all candidate data as confidential and use it solely for legitimate recruitment for roles posted on the Platform. Bulk download, forwarding to third parties, training of AI models, or use for marketing is strictly prohibited.

7. Community & Forum Conduct

Where community, forum, or comment features are made available, you must keep discussion on-topic, professional, and respectful. No doxxing, no harassment, no undisclosed paid promotion, and no sharing of private messages without consent.

8. Reporting Abuse

To report a breach of this AUP — including scams, fake jobs, harassment, fraudulent verification documents, or unsafe working conditions — email info@ukelectricaljobs.com with as much detail as possible. We review reports promptly and take action where appropriate.

9. Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, remove content, restrict features, suspend the account, or permanently ban the user. Serious or repeated breaches — particularly fraud, illegal job postings, exploitation, or attempts to bypass security — will result in an immediate ban and may be reported to the police, the ICO, HMRC, or relevant regulators.

10. Appeals

If your account or content has been actioned and you believe this was an error, email info@ukelectricaljobs.com within 14 days, including your account email and a summary of why you believe the decision should be reviewed. We aim to respond within 7 working days.

11. Changes & Contact

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Platform or by email. For questions, contact info@ukelectricaljobs.com.
