We are a small local business based in Acomb, York. Our work is mainly for domestic customers, but we also carry out rental/holiday let work and light commercial work for other local businesses, as well as one-off projects.
We are looking to expand our team of electricians and take on an additional experienced team member. As a small local business, we focus on providing our clients with a ‘we can help’ service backed up by our existing team. We pride ourselves on producing a service that focuses on high-quality workmanship and good-value quality products.

Job Type: Full-time following initial trial period

Job description
We have a full-time position available for an experienced, enthusiastic electrician with very high standards. We are looking for a suitable candidate to enhance and support our existing young team. Work ranges from small jobs like replacing a light fitting, fault-finding, etc., to extensions, rewires, and new builds, with the occasional project further afield. We love being part of the renewables revolution and actively promote the use of electric vehicles by offering EV charge point installations, solar panels, and storage battery installations. The candidate must have a good working knowledge of modern electrical installation practices. The right candidate will be equally suited to working as part of a team and also working on their own initiative when the job dictates.

• A qualified and experienced primarily domestic electrician with a can-do work ethic
• Punctual, reliable and professional
• Ability to produce work to a very high standard

• Ability to carry out work as per the job brief with the client’s input, where applicable

• On very rare occasions, willing to work away from home, if required

Skills and Experience Required:

• Must be fully electrically qualified to 18th Edition
• 2391 Inspection & Testing
• Full UK driving licence
• Focussed on Health and Safety
• Experience of installing EV Charge Points, Solar and Battery Storage would be an advantage
• You will need to be confident in your abilities, organised and have good attention to detail
• You will need to be an excellent communicator with an open, helpful and friendly approach
