Domestic Electrician

About this role

We are looking for a qualified self-employed Electrician to work with us on a subcontractor basis, covering Ashford and the surrounding areas. Please note: This is not an employed position. The successful applicant will work on a self-employed subcontractor basis and will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

>Consumer unit (fuse board) replacements.
>Smoke alarm installations and replacements.
>Replacing sockets, light switches, and other electrical accessories.
>Carrying out a range of domestic electrical repairs and installations.
>Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out repairs safely and efficiently.
>Completing work to current electrical regulations and company standards.
>Providing excellent customer service while working in customers' homes.

If you hold Inspection & Testing qualifications (2391 or equivalent), you will also be required to:
>Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
>Complete all associated certification and paperwork accurately using the NICEIC database.
>Identify defects and recommend any remedial works required.

Requirements:

>Fully qualified Electrician (Level 3 or equivalent).
>ECS/CSCS card (preferred but not a necessity).
>Full UK driving licence and a vehicle to get you between jobs.

>Ability to work independently and manage your workload.
>Reliable, punctual, and professional.
>Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) (preferred but not a necessity).
